The National Library and Documentation Centre (NLDC) the focal  point of the library system in Sri Lanka, has launched a project to acquire Ph.D / M.Phil / MA (2 years) theses/dissertations, from scholars and researchers.

Criteria for the acquisition of theses/dissertations are as follows :

• The thesis / dissertation should have been submitted to obtain Ph.D or M.Phil or MA degree from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or abroad.
• The author of the thesis/dissertation should be a Sri Lankan or the subject should be on or relevant to Sri Lanka.
• The NLDC will pay Rs.7500.00 (for Ph.D) and Rs.5,000.00 (for M.Phil or MA) as a fee for making an extra copy of the work.
• Only the  Theses submitted after 1980 are accepted.
