National Library Research Symposium 2019 (NatlibSYMPO 2019) in collaboration with the Asia &amp; Oceania section of IFLA on 31st October 2019 at the National Library premises, Colombo. NatlibSYMPO 2019 is the third in the series, which is organized annually by the Library Research Division to provide an excellent opportunity for researchers to discuss issues and challenges in the fields of Library &amp; Information Science and the Social Sciences. The theme of this year\u2019s conference, \u201cLibrary, Information and Documentation in a Context of Transformation,\u201d was chosen to address many aspects of the growing importance of libraries in the country. Mr. R. Rathnayake, Additional Secretary (School Affairs) attached to the Ministry of Education, was the Chief Guest of the symposium, while Prof. Rohan Samarajiva, Chairman, Information &amp; Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) delivered the keynote address. The symposium&nbsp;<span aria-invalid=\"grammar\">cherished<\/span>&nbsp;with presentations of about twenty-one selected research papers covering a wide range of subjects relevant to the theme of the symposium. They were presented in four technical sessions chaired by experts&nbsp;<span aria-invalid=\"grammar\">in Library Research Symposium 2018 (NatlibSYMPO 2018) was held on 23rd October 2018 under the patronage of Mr. Sunil Hettiarachchi, Secretary of the Ministry of Education. NatlibSYMPO 2018 is the second of its series which is annually organized by Library Research <br \/>Division to provide an excellent opportunity for researchers to discuss the issues and challenges relating to the fields of Library &amp; Information Science and Social Sciences. The keynote speech was delivered by Prof. Lakshman Dissanayake, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo. Mr.Deepal Chandraratna, Chairman, Mr. W. Sunil, Director General, and the senior staff of the National Library and Documentation Services Board, along with researchers and paper presenters, participated in the inauguration ceremony. The conference theme of this year was \u201cPromoting Research Culture through Knowledge Sharing.\u201d The symposium provided an opportunity for professionals in the library and information field, as well as related disciplines, to present research papers and share knowledge. A total of 20 research papers were presented by 24 researchers on various topics.
