The 4th National Library Research Symposium 2021 (NatlibSYMPO 2021) was held on 29th October as a virtual conference under the theme “Libraries for a Better World: Achieving Sustainable Development Goals” in collaboration with International Federation of Library Associations & Institutions (IFLA). The main objective of NatlibSYMPO 2021 was to provide an opportunity to strengthen cooperation among libraries and to offer a platform for emerging scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research on all aspects of library and information science and the social sciences. Particularly the NLDSB focused on Sustainable Development Goal No 4: Quality Education for All. The UN 2030 Agenda which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” by 2030 and it requires education to empower people with the knowledge, skills and values to live in dignity, build their lives and contribute to their societies. Mr. Robert Juhkam, Resident Representative of UNDP, Sri Lanka was the Chief Guest of this symposium.
