The 4th International Research Conference of the National Library of Sri Lanka 2025 (ICNATLIB 2025), organized by the National Library & Documentation Services Board, was held on 4th September, 2025, at the National Library Auditorium under the theme “Building a Smart Nation through Smart Libraries.”
The event was graced by Mr. Orlando Edwards, Country Director of the British Council Sri Lanka; Guest of Honour Mr. Prince Senadeera, Secretary, Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs; and Guest Speaker, Prof. S. Srisatkunarajah, Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna. Keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Sepalika Sudasinghe, Director General/CEO of the National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka.
Following the inauguration, the scientific sessions commenced with three parallel tracks. A total of 20 research papers were presented by both local and international scholars, providing a valuable platform for knowledge exchange. ICNATLIB 2025 reflected the vibrant spirit of inquiry among emerging scholars and laid a strong foundation for future academic and professional advancement.
