Senior Professor H. N. Prabhath Jayasinghe currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Sri Lanka National Commission for UNESCO and is also a Senior Professor in the Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo.

He is a distinguished academic with extensive expertise in international finance, financial markets, macroeconomics, and political economy. Professor Jayasinghe has over two decades of experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Macroeconomics, International Finance, Financial Econometrics, Managerial Economics, and Research Methodology. His research focuses on international finance, exchange rate dynamics, financial markets, stock market volatility, and political economy.
